Attorney Shelby McKenzie attended law school to be an advocate for those in need. During law school, she worked with indigent clients in challenging situations and was eventually drawn to family law to help people navigate an often confusing legal system.
Shelby studied law at Georgia State University College of Law, where she earned her J.D. with highest Pro Bono distinction for providing over 600 hours of pro bono service. During law school, Shelby worked with the Georgia Law Center for The Homeless, AVLF's Safe and Stable Families Program, GSU Health Law Partnership and interned with Fulton County Superior Court Judge Belinda Edwards.
After graduation, Shelby was Of Counsel to the Georgia Family Law Project, learning the family law ropes and gaining court experience in a fast-paced environment. She is also a trained Guardian Ad Litem and takes cases in Fulton County.
Shelby lives in Midtown with her husband, Robert, and their two cats. In her free time, she likes to explore Atlanta's culinary scene or catch an Atlanta United game with friends.
